The Taichung World Flora Exposition is launched since 3rd Nov last year and coming to an end soon on 24-4-2019. It is on for more than 3 months, hence now is still a good time to visit as there is no queue for anything, eg. entrances, food stalls, toilets, etc. I can’t forget the nightmare of crazy long queues and pushing during my visit for the 2010/2011 Taipei International Flora Exposition.
This time round I can take photos without having anyone standing in my view, have time to read the information and smell the flowers. Most of all, I am able to indulge in the nature, arts and creativity of the local and international designers.
I am in time to see the display of talented florists' works on 'Home Plants Combination Design' where the competition was held on 15-3-2019. Spend half a day at the indoor floral competition hall. Shared here few photos on some of the floral masters' superb flower arrangement skills and beautiful works of floral art.

This creation by TF Garden Flower. Their explanatory note: "The "bathroom" is a place where people refresh every day. Using the branches to shine upon the swamp and woodland as the main point. Taiwan is a mountainous island, and here looks the Sister Lakes at Mountain Ali and the Sun-Link-sea and Nature Resort in Nantou, which full of cloud, have clear lakes, just like being in the bathhouse in the mystery. Main Usage of Flowers: Vanda Asplenium nidus, Tillandsia, Nephrolepis exaltata."
More awesome competition works display.
A slideshow on some of the beautiful and creative centerpiece showcase.

It is convenience to get to the Expo as there are regular free shutter bus services with several pick up points in the district. I took mine from Maple Garden-Taichung. There are also buses picking up and dropping passages in the Expo within the 3 venues, Houli-Waipu-Fengyuan.
Many restaurant and food stalls are available outside and inside the Expo.
The organizer has notified that the competition hall will be temporarily closed for viewing from April 8th to 11th. The closure of the main hall is to facilitate an internal exchange exhibition on the new competition theme 'Florist Window Display' to be held on 12th April.
Orchid Hall and other attraction in the expo remain open as usual from 9am to 7pm. For Friday and Saturday until 9pm.
Not sure is the entrance ticket price is the same for everyone throughout the expo period. I bought mine online one day before via KLOOK for RM56 (2 paxs). Remember to save your e-tickets’ QR code for entrance scanning purpose.
